Ah, Greenwich Village...Thanks for the great article. I was first introduced to sushi at a Japanese joint on Houston, between 12th and Jane. USed to go there every Friday. It was called Sakura, and in retrospect it was probably a bit divey. I wonder, is it stll there?

I was in NY for the first time in almost 20 years last October, when I went back East for my high school reunion and ate at a wonderful sushi restaurant, but the name is escaping me right now. Sakura seems to ring a bell, but I can't be sure. I crammed so much in during my three days there, I have to find my notes!

I like how you delinated the area of where Greenwich actually is. I love stuff like that - where things begin and end. East Side, West Side, SoHo, Wall Street. Etc. Just like here in Seattle - Fremont, Ballard, Magnolia...another city of neighborhoods.
