» desertblue - vegas, baby

this is sane advice. I know I had a great time at my business conference in vegas, but then again, I didn't gamble. I just wandered around and looked at the hotels and their cool decor, mostly. There is an urge to stay up as late as humanly possible and see as much as you can pack in...maybe sticking in a day of rest is helpful. Like a day where you just head out to Lake Mead or something, and just "recreate" before you fly home.

Exhaustion? In Vegas?? LOL Yup, very easily done. Sleep is very important, even in the city that never sleeps.

What's your favorite hotel Michelle, Rae, anyone? I was so impressed with the Venetian, all the canals, the sensation of old Italy. I developed a crush on my Gondolier...he sang so beautifully!

I always carry a timepiece while in Vegas, otherwise I have no clue "when" I am.

One of these days I'm going to have to find a way to get into an actual room at the Luxor. Just to enjoy the strangeness of it.

Yes, would love to stay at the Luxor. Hmmm, we can certainly justify a stay as "research", right??? LOL

Oh, I also loved the Inside Passage in the Alladin!

The Inside Passage is fun! I have video of their rainstorm thanks to arriving just as it was about to start.

I like the MGM for convenience to parking. The rooms are nice though some were noisy during remodeling. I've stayed at Harrahs and Rio and love the food at Harrahs 'Flavors'. Mandalay's buffet is also excellent with a good variety. To get away from the crowds, I like to visit Ethel M's but it can be hard to find. The cactus gardens are a botanical dream, unless you should sit on one.
