I just saw that this AM, it was listing the temperature high for SF in the low 70s. I'd forgotten how when most everyone else is starting to bundle up and worry about frost, the Bay Area gets a Halloween reprieve.

Are those really high rents worth this sort of weather?

Well, I don't know about San Fran, but down here in SoCal it's around 79, 80 degrees. Can see straight out to Catalina Islands on a clear day like this. Three cheers for the Santa Anas! happy

If you visit San Franisco, you might also want to spend a day wine tasting. You can travel in any direction from San Francisco and find some fantastic California wineries. To the north is Sonoma County and to the northeast is Napa. For less crowds and free wine tasting drive less than an hour east to Livermore or south to Santa Cruz. You will be able to sample wines in these two regions that you may not be able to wine in stores.

Sonoma is so darned pretty - I've done a bunch of those winteries. I will add Livermore to my list of tasting areas, thanks for the tip!
